TikTok is a great platform for creating and sharing short videos with your followers.

Did you know that you can also go live on TikTok?

This can be a great way to connect with your audience in real-time and share some behind-the-scenes footage of your latest project.

In this blog post, we will provide step-by-step instructions on how to go live on TikTok once you hit 1000 followers.

Let's get started!

Ready to Go Live on TikTok?

To go live on TikTok, you first need to make sure that you have at least 1,000 followers. That's just how it is. TikTok has made the rules, not me.

Once you reach this milestone, you will have the added option of the "Live" tab at the bottom of the screen.

Once you are ready to go live, tap on the "Start Live Video" button and wait for your broadcast to begin!

Wait no more than 60 seconds for people to join in. Once you start seeing people join your live, start your presentation. You do NOT want to bore people by saying "let's just wait a few more minutes for more people to join". I can virtually guarantee people will leave. TikTok is a platform that steals attention at every turn.

Tips on Going Live on TikTok

Be sure to interact with your viewers and answer any questions they have.

Let your followers know how they can get in touch with you, whether it's through email or a direct message (DM) on the TikTok platform.

You want to keep them engaged so that when someone comments on what you're saying, respond back as soon as possible.

This way it feels like a one-on-one conversation.

How Long Should my Lives Be?

The length of your TikTok live depends on the content you are delivering.

Don't just stick around to wait for people to join.

If you have something to share, do it, answer any questions you see in the comment feed, and then end the live.

Otherwise, people will lose interest and move on.

End With a Strong Call-To-Action

End your live video with a call to action, such as asking viewers to follow you on TikTok or visit your website link in your bio.

This will help you drive traffic and followers to your account.

That's it!

These are all the steps you need to take in order to go live on TikTok.

Follow these tips and you're sure to engage with your followers in a new way.

Have fun.
